For this project, I was tasked with designing a signature restaurant for Chef Jorge Aguilar within the historic Berger Building in Old City, Philadelphia. The program required a dining space on the ground floor with an additional mezzanine level. Inspired by Chef Aguilar’s heritage and emphasis on family, I created adaptable seating around a large central taco bar to assist intimate meals, family-style dining, larger gatherings, entertainment, and cooking classes. Equally important was accessibility, ADA compliance throughout the layout of bathrooms, bars, tables, and the inclusion of elevator access to the mezzanine, ensuring the space is welcoming to all guests.
