In ARDS-210 at Thomas Jefferson University, the project challenged me to transform an unused building on campus. I selected Ravenhill Mansion, a Renaissance Revival mansion located in the East Falls neighborhood of Philadelphia. While the mansion itself remains largely unused, I focused on reimagining its front porch as an active and functional space. My goal was to honor the historic character of the building while designing an area that could serve students and the community, creating a welcoming environment that brings new life to a neglected portion of the mansion. The study model served as an exploratory tool, allowing me to test form, scale, and spatial relationships.
